President George W. Bush in 2007: Complete Withdrawal From Iraq Would Create a “Safe Haven” for Terrorists

george_w_bush73In 2007 President George W. Bush talked about the idea of a complete withdrawal from Iraq. He offered the opinion that it would create a safe haven for terrorists and create a landscape that was again conducive to mass killings. He forewarned that a complete withdrawal would mean the likely return of American forces who would be facing an enemy that was more dangerous than before.

As we face a new crisis with ISIS insurgents in Iraq, I think it is good to look back at the former President’s comments:

I suppose this is one of those “I told you so” moments. President Bush forewarned this would happen and it did.

This is just another shining example of bad foreign policy that has come under the guise of the “fundamental transformation of America” thanks to Barack Hussein Obama.

Bush had his fair share of foreign policy failures as well, but he hit the nail on the head with this prediction.
