HOW CAN WE REPAIR OUR COUNTRY RIGHT NOW?
EDUCATE OURSELVES!! so that we can choose candidates carefully, by a process called VETTING (not being done properly, if at all, anymore). Candidates that understand the REAL meaning of our constitutions, and have the potential to, if deemed worthy of our electing them to office, become not just our representatives BOUND by these constitutions, but STATESMEN willing to stand for their oaths, and defend them no matter what, govern by the bounds of these constitutions and DEMAND (on our behalf) that each and every other representative do as well.
I think we MUST, early enough so that we can all vet them properly by asking PLENTY of specific questions, come up with candidates to replace the TRAITORS that are disregarding our Constitution and the protection it affords us as citizens of the United States of America!! I also hope that the voters, on local, state and federal levels, will ask questions that will give us reassurance that ALL future candidates understand the Constitutions of our state AND of our country, NOT from their modern interpretations but rather from the meaning that our founders understood them to have; so that they might once again, be the instrument of PROTECTION the framers intended. In order for us (the PEOPLE) to do that, properly, vet our potential candidates, we each MUST take seriously our responsibility as voters and citizens, by better EDUCATING ourselves with our founders and their beliefs respective to the process of government and the meaning of the constitution. We are fortunate to have MANY, MANY documents left to us from our founders. I encourage each and every one of us to go back and READ, in THEIR own words, about the events and circumstances that led up to our revolution, our confederation and our eventual adoption of our constitution. NOT “historians” views. Not “scholars” INTERPRETATIONS. The founders own words!! STUDY IT! UNDERSTAND IT!! And then, WE can properly vet, elect and OVERSEE candidates who will, GOD WILLING, become the STATESMEN that we so DESPIRATELY need!
We can no longer afford to allow US and our GOVERNING to be so separated! We ARE the government!! We MUST take an active role, as the EMPLOYERS we were meant, by our founder, to be!

When you run across something interesting… tell your friends, share the link, post it on Facebook, and talk about THAT at the water cooler! But PLEASE, for the sake of our nation, learn as much as you can FROM THESE FOLKS – not from books ABOUT these folks, not from movies, not from the history channel, not from National Geographic – with all of these you get too much of somebody else’s OPINION on what these folks said or did or believed. READ their words with YOUR eyes and base YOUR opinion and understanding in YOUR brain!!
We have something to look at that our founders did not have – the HISTORY of this nation, OUR history. If you read much from this time frame (Pre-Revolution to Civil War) you will not only get a CLEARER picture if what our framers meant and WHY, but you’ll also read their concerns, the warnings they left us with AND you will quickly see where, by these very warning NOT being heeded, we got on a course leading to this very place! You will quickly see that our problems today were not only amazingly parallel to some of the problems in OUR history, but you just might see what needs to be done to get us back on track!
READ, STUDY, LEARN and for the nation’s sake, GET OTHERS TO DO THE SAME!! I believe that knowing this and applying the knowledge as we select our candidates, vote and oversee our representatives (our employees) is EXACTLY what will save our country!!
A committed pursuit of this knowledge should be taken ABSOLUTELY just as seriously and with as much fervor as any defense training we do, any emergency/survival preparations we make, and with them exact same zeal that we EXPECT our political representatives to have in defending our constitution!!
And that is… just MY opinion!!Â
