According to Barack Obama’s former personal assistant Reggie Love, Obama seemed rather disinterested in actually watching the raid on Osama bin Laden, the night that his alleged to have been killed. During an Artists and Athletes forum at UCLA, Love said that he, some others and Obama played cards during the bin Laden raid.
When asked about the day that Osama bin Laden was allegedly killed, Love said:
“Most people were like down in the Situation Room and [President Obama] was like, ‘I’m not going to be down there, I can’t watch this entire thing,’ So he, myself, Pete Souza the White House photographer, Marvin, we must have played 15 hands, 15 games of spades.”
Love had comments about Obama’s birth certificate, as well. He recalled how Obama originally wanted to treat the birth certificate issue. “I remember when he finally found his birth certificate,” Love said. ”It took a little too long, by the way,” inserted Jim Newton, the UCLA senior fellow and Los Angeles Times journalist who was conducting the interview. ”Hey, your parents don’t live together, and you travel all over the world–documents get lost,” Love rebutted.
“And so he wanted to just have an impromptu press conference and just walk into the press briefing room of the White House and just put his birth certificate out on the podium and everyone was like, ‘that’s a really bad idea,’” Love added. “But he was like very gung-ho about doing it because he was so irritated about it.”
Let me point out that Barack Obama did not “put his birth certificate out on the podium.” In fact, just to refresh everyone’s memory, he walked out with nothing in his hand and apparently had nothing on the podium.
What he did was post an image of a birth certificate on the White House website, which has been deemed to be a forgery by many people, including Israeli scientists, and English lord and of course, serious investigators. His own attorney even outed the birth certificate fraud!

However, what is most disturbing about Love’s revelation is that Barack Obama didn’t seem all that interested in the raid, and yet, he was extremely excited to use it to promote his re-election, wasn’t he? Oh yes he was. In fact, he was so excited about it, he made it a part of a campaign slogan, “Osama Bin Laden is dead, General Motors is alive.” Who could forget his shameless re-election film about making the call to take out Osama bin Laden?
Additionally, former Attorney General Michael Mukasey said that Barack Obama drafted a memo to protect himself from blame if the mission to kill or capture Osama Bin Laden would have failed. This would have allowed Obama to place the blame of the failure of the mission on General William H. McRaven.
Love’s story strikes me as credible, especially in light of Mara Zebest’s critique of the infamous situation room photo, which demonstrates that it was doctored. Obama wasn’t in the situation room when bin Laden was alleged to have been killed, and he wasn’t in the situation room when Americans were under attack in Benghazi. He was bored and wanted to play games while people fought for their lives.
