Wal-Mart, a company I have long defended against attacks from leftists and statists, has lost its way. There is no other explanation for the firing of an employee at the behest of a Muslim Brotherhood group, an unindicted co-conspirator in the nation’s largest terror finding trial, CAIR.
Once of Wal-Mart’s employees published a silly and crass Facebook joke about the burka. So what? He made a remark on Facebook, not to them, not at them.
Hamas-CAIR bullied Wal-Mart into firing him. No warning, no policy citations — just surrender to the sharia and the Islamic supremacists who enforce it in this country.
The burka is deeply offensive to me. It is a misogynistic penalty for feminine beauty and womanhood. Covering a woman up from head to toe so that animal urges in Muslim men won’t be stoked to rape is savage. So yes, I am deeply offended as a woman when I see one. But I do not insist that Muslimas can’t wear them. If they choose to delude themselves and willingly subjugate themselves to this woman-hating practice, that’s their prerogative. But when this ideology is imposed on the American marketplace and we are told we must respect it or we will be fired, then a red line is crossed.
Wal-Mart most likely feared that Muslim Brotherhood groups would call for a boycott and direct the politicians on their payroll to make life miserable for the retailer. I understand that better than anyone. Islamic supremacists work hard to destroy my colleagues and me on a daily basis. But that’s the war we are in, and I expect Wal-Mart to stand for the first amendment and freedom the same way they stood against statists and leftists in the unions and communist parties. Badly done. Very badly done.
Politely let Wal-Mart know that they made a mistake. This is not the first time Wal-Mart has caved to sharia supremacists. Wal-Mart has previously sent ten of their employees for “diversity training” that Hamas-CAIR conducted. Enough. Stand up.
Wal-Mart fires worker for Facebook post that mocked Muslims Washington TimesA Wal-Mart employee at a New York
store was sent packing after his bosses noticed comments he posted on his Facebook page that were deemed derogatory to Muslims. The comments were brought to the attention of store executives by the Muslim lobby group CAIR.
The Council on American-Islamic Relations identified the fired employee as Terry Earsing. His post, The Associated Press reported, included a photo of a Muslim woman in traditional garb with expletive-laced accompanying text
: “Halloween came early this year. … Do they really have to … dress like that.”
Mr. Earsing was fired after CAIR complained to the store, AP said. He was an assistant manager at the Wal-Mart store in Hamburg, a Buffalo suburb.
A spokeswoman for Wal-Mart Stores Inc. said the firing was a no-brainer. AP said officials with the Arkansas headquarters checked out the complaint and sent an immediate notice to Mr. Earsing.
