While IRS Commissioner John Koskinen is getting grilled by Republican lawmakers for his “dog ate my homework” answers regarding the “mysterious disappearance” of Lois Lerner’s emails, what are the Democrats doing? They’re apologizing for Republicans asking tough questions and for calling him out on being the liar that he is! These are questions that We The People have a right to know the correct answers to. I thought that I’d seen it all, but this is a disgraceful display from Democrat lawmakers; who, I might add, should be asking tougher questions.

During the Watergate hearings, Democrats did the exact same things the Republicans are doing now, but I don’t seem to remember any Republicans “apologizing” to those individuals on the witness stand. Not only were the Watergate hearings on national television every day they were in session, but the entire news media wanted to know everything that was going on. My, how times have changed!

I’m just a kid from a southern California suburb, but even back then, I remember being horrified that our elected officials could do something illegal like that. And even though I was only 15 years old at the time, even I wanted answers! But by today’s “moral standards,” “right” is wrong and “wrong” is right.

Here are a few of those “apologies” by Democrats (get your “Barf-Bags” ready).

“I want to apologize to you for the way you’ve been treated this morning,” said Rep. John Lewis (D-GA) to Koskinen. Lewis then offered Koskinen time to say whatever he wanted.

Rep. Richard Neal (D-MA) was among the Democrats accusing Republicans of pursuing unfounded conspiracy theories. He said that every element is present “except Oliver Stone.”

“This is maybe not a hearing, but an inquisition,” Rep. Xavier Becerra (D-CA) said as he apologized to Koskinen for the Republican questioning and counseled him on how to get his side of the story told.

Rep. Lloyd Doggett (D-TX) asked Koskinen whether he’d ever been in Benghazi, had President Obama’s birth certificate or been to Area 51. When Koskinen answered in the negative, Doggett said Republicans had an “obsession with conspiracy.”

I watched the exchange on Fox news and to be honest, I was literally floored by this horrifically obtuse display of coddling by Democrats. They did everything except wipe Koskinen’s forehead with a hanky and put their arms around the guy to protect him! I kept shaking my head because I could not believe what these Democrat “lawmakers” were doing: They were literally protecting a witness in a serious criminal investigation!  This is insane!

But, the most ludicrous and shameful display came from Democratic Congressman Elijah Cummings! He said, “I appreciate you coming into this institution, giving it the best you’ve got, and then having to come in here and go through this hell!”

Go Through Hell?

I don’t know about the rest of you, but I have a completely different definition and idea of what “Hell” is, and so, I must respectfully disagree with Rep. Cummings on his assessment of what took place.

With the mid-term elections right around the corner, if we don’t “Remember in November,” then these lying, corrupt traitors will continue to thumb their nose at the truth and will keep making a mockery out of justice!
