Fellow protester labels shooter Ismaaiyl Brinsley a “motherf***ing hero”

A Ferguson protest leader who was invited to a police reform meeting by the Department of Justice last month taunted police with the same “pigs in a blanket” phrase used by NYPD cop killer Ismaaiyl Brinsley during a demonstration on Saturday night, while his fellow protester labeled Brinsley a “motherfucking hero”.
Bassem Masri, who ran one of the most popular livestreams during the Ferguson protests, is seen in the clip marching with a group of other demonstrators towards the Hyatt in St. Louis where police chief Sam Dotson was in attendance.
“Pigs in a blanket; smell like bacon,” Masri and fellow activists yell as they walk the streets. “Oh man it feels great,” says Masri.
Hours before shooting NYPD officers Rafael Ramos and Wenjian Liu in the head on Saturday, killer Ismaaiyl Brinsley posted on his Instagram profile, “This may be my final post…I’m putting pigs in a blanket.”
Last month, Masri was one of numerous protest leaders invited by the Department of Justice to take part in a community meeting on police reform.
“Department of Justice called me yesterday invited me2a meeting today at 6pm on Police Reform want2 hear my ideas I’ll be updating,” Masri tweeted in November.
In a second clip taken from the same march on Saturday, Masri complains about people blaming him for the NYPD shooting while implying that killing police officers is a justifiable way to hold them accountable.
“Ya’ll motherfuckers don’t want want to hold no police accountable, motherfuckers just gonna hold police accountable their own way,” states Masri, before his fellow protester, who is hiding his face with a skull mask, states, “You call him a terrorist, I can him a motherfucking hero,” referring to shooter Ismaaiyl Brinsley.
The protesters then begin chanting, “hands up, don’t shoot!” in support of Michael Brown (who according to ballistics evidence and eyewitness testimony did not have his hands up when he was shot by Officer Darren Wilson).
As we highlight in the video below, innumerable Michael Brown supporters took to Twitter to celebrate the NYPD murders, while one even announced his intention to kill two more cops in New York.
