Obama’s war on “countering violent extremism” turns inward — on Americans. The DHS report targeting the right is a deliberate demonization of an increasing number of Americans who understand that our rights are being usurped and the US government has been hijacked by a collective of destroyers and anti-American operatives. This is not new. Obama made these same vicious accusations in a similar DHS report in early 2009. It is a strategy.
President Obama is taking the idea of pre-emptiion to a whole other level. The Bush Doctrine included a strategy of “preemptive strikes” as a defense against an immediate threat to the security of the United States. Obama is using it as an offense against the American people.
“The tyrant will always find a pretext for his tyranny,” so said Aesop in the “The Wolf and the Lamb,” Aesop’s Fables. And so he has.
A statist is a man who believes that some men have the right to force, coerce, enslave, rob, and murder others. To be put into practice, this belief has to be implemented by the political doctrine that the government—the state—has the right to initiate the use of physical force against its citizens. How often force is to be used, against whom, to what extent, for what purpose and for whose benefit, are irrelevant questions. This DHS report is a covert declaration of war. America is “a government of the people, by the people, for the people.” And this is a declaration of war on that very principle. America was founded on an anti-government idea of freedom and individual rights. Ayn Rand said, “The source of the government’s authority is ‘the consent of the governed.’ This means that the government is not the ruler, but the servant or agent of the citizens; it means that the government as such has no rights except the rights delegated to it by the citizens for a specific purpose.” Further, “A dictatorship is a country that does not recognize individual rights, whose government holds total, unlimited power over men.”
We are approaching that level of control.
Obama and his appointed thugs have made the good guys the enemy. Clearly they anticipate that Americans will act against his coup at some point, and they are taking pre-emptive action. Criminalizing patriotism.
The world is in chaos. The jihad wars are roiling Africa, the Middle East and now Europe. And the Obama administration has turned against ……. Americans.
The Obama administration is anticipating some kind of civil war/civil action, and so they are drawing the line — declaring those who stand in defense of the Constitution enemies of the state.
Obama refuses to call Islamic terror Islamic, but will designate Americanism a terror threat.
This is exactly what I predicted in my 2010 book, The Post American Presidency: The Obama Administration’s War on America.
This report quotes liberally from the left-wing extremist group, SPLC, whose own members turned assassins have been involved in a number of shootings. The SPLC has never designated an Islamic group a terrorist or even a hate group, but patriots like Ben Carson and I have been so branded.
The DHS is a useless agency; worse, it has become Obama’s political stormtroopers, targeting Obama’s enemies list.
The absurdity of the report is made ever more ridiculous by all of the other headlines on the page, “related” news stories of Islamic terror and the human toll.

A new intelligence assessment, circulated by the Department of Homeland Security this month and reviewed by CNN, focuses on the domestic terror threat from right-wing sovereign citizen extremists and comes as the Obama administration holds a White House conference to focus efforts to fight violent extremism.
Some federal and local law enforcement groups view the domestic terror threat from sovereign citizen groups as equal to — and in some cases greater than — the threat from foreign Islamic terror groups, such as ISIS, that garner more public attention.

The government says these are extremists who believe that they can ignore laws and that their individual rights are under attack in routine daily instances such as a traffic stop or being required to obey a court order.
They’ve lashed out against authority in incidents such as one in 2012, in which a father and son were accused of engaging in a shootout with police in Louisiana, in a confrontation that began with an officer pulling them over for a traffic violation. Two officers were killed and several others wounded in the confrontation. The men were sovereign citizen extremists who claimed police had no authority over them.
Among the findings from the Homeland Security intelligence assessment: “(Sovereign citizen) violence during 2015 will occur most frequently during routine law enforcement encounters at a suspect’s home, during enforcement stops and at government offices.”
The report adds that “law enforcement officers will remain the primary target of (sovereign citizen) violence over the next year due to their role in physically enforcing laws and regulations.”
The White House has fended off criticism in recent days for its reluctance to say the words “Islamist extremism,” even as the conference this week almost entirely focused on helping imams and community groups to counteract the lure of groups like ISIS.
Absent from the White House conference is any focus on the domestic terror threat posed by sovereign citizens, militias and other anti-government terrorists that have carried out multiple attacks in recent years.
An administration official says the White House is focused on the threat from all terrorists, including from sovereign citizen and other domestic groups.
“I don’t think it’s fair to say the (White House) conference didn’t address this at all,” the official said, adding that President Barack Obama addressed the need to combat “violent ideologies” of all types.
An official at the Justice Department, which is leading the administration’s counter-radicalization effort, says many of the tactics aimed at thwarting radical Islamic recruitment of young people can also be used to fight anti-government extremist groups.
While groups like ISIS and al Qaeda garner the most attention, for many local cops, the danger is closer to home.

The survey was part of a study produced by the University of Maryland’s National Consortium for the Study of Terrorism and Responses to Terrorism.
In 2013, a man who held anti-government views carried out a shooting attack on three Transportation Security Administration employees at Los Angeles International Airport, killing one TSA officer. Last year, a couple killed two police officers and a bystander at a Las Vegas Walmart store.
