Free Press has been pressuring the FCC and White House on Net Neutrality for years. They received generous donations fro George Soros’ Open Society (2.2 million) and the Ford Foundation (3.9 million) to carry on their fight. (Between Soros and the Ford Foundation, they spent 196 million to push for net neutrality) The FCC regulations that cover 400 pages makes mention of Free Press 46 times either in the main body of the report or in footnotes when referring to words or actions of Free press.

To better understand the new regulations, you need to know to know more about Free Press.  Free press was founded in 2003.  One of the co-founders of Free press is Robert McChesney, a communications professor at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, a neo-Marxist.  Once you learn who he is, you will understand that net neutrality is a smokescreen.  Liberals claim they are leveling the playing field by making all content equal.  But that is not the real goal at all.

Robert McChesney wants to see capitalism wiped out and replaced with socialism and he’s not shy in letting people know about his views.  He also wants governmental, or at least liberal, control of the press.  The advent of the internet has made it much easier to expose the lies of the left and the net neutrality regulations have been written a way that can limit conservative discourse.  Here is what McChesney wrote in a 2009 essay:

“In the end, there is no real answer but to remove brick by brick the capitalist system itself, rebuilding the entire society on socialist principles.,

“Only government can implement policies and subsidies to provide an institutional framework for quality journalism.”

“The news is not a commercial product. It is a public good, necessary for a self-governing society. Once we accept this, we can talk about the kind of media policies and subsidies we want.”

This would certainly explain the new Google plan on it’s search engine. Search results will appear in the order of whatever Google decides is the truth.  Knowing what kind of liberal company Google is, it’s easy to figure out what is going to happen.  You might think they will not be able to follow through on their plans because of net neutrality, but other clauses in the bill will allow Google to promote PMSDNC and bury Fox News.

In his 2010 book, McChesney wrote:

“The Life and Death of American Journalism.” He suggested spending $35 billion on federal subsidies for public media outlets. He also proposed creating a journalism branch of AmeriCorps and said it would be a good idea to give each American a $200 news voucher which could be given only to publicly-owned media outlets.

“Advertising is the voice of capital,” McChesney said in a 2009 interview with the Socialist Project. “We need to do whatever we can to limit capitalist propaganda, regulate it, minimize it, and perhaps even eliminate it. The fight against hyper-commercialism becomes especially pronounced in the era of digital communications.”

Say goodbye to freedom of speech.
