world trade center

Donald Trump has caught plenty of flak in the media for claiming that “thousands and thousands” of Muslims were seen celebrating the attack on the World Trade Center on September 11th. Now a CBS report made days after the attack has resurfaced, which claims that a celebration really did occur on an apartment rooftop in New Jersey.

There is now plenty of evidence to back up Trump’s claim that there were celebrations on 9/11, with one caveat however. He isn’t guilty of lying or misremembering those events, but the idea that “thousands and thousands” of Muslims were celebrating may be a bit of an exaggeration.

On the other hand, it’s the media that perpetuated these stories on multiple networks and radio shows in the days following the attack. If these celebrations didn’t occur, it’s the media that made it sound like they were widespread and prolific. The same media in fact, that is calling Trump a liar now.
