For years, those who are in the know about elections have said that there needs to be a better job done to identify people as they vote. So, in the case of North Carolina, there is now the requirement to show a valid State issued identification. This has been met with resistance at the national level. Many in the Democratic Party have said that such moves were unneeded and racist. Obama is even reported to have said that voter fraud rarely occurs. But a new investigation is proving that this is not true at all.

A comparison of records by David Goldstein, investigative reporter for CBS2/KCAL9, has revealed hundreds of so-called dead voters in Southern California, a vast majority of them in Los Angeles County.

CBS2 compared millions of voting records from the California Secretary of State’s office with death records from the Social Security Administration and found hundreds of so-called dead voters.

Specifically, 265 in Southern California and a vast majority of them, 215, in Los Angeles County alone.

It appears the way in for fraud comes through the mail in ballots. And this falls squarely to California, who has not abided by the federally mandated reforms.

CBSLA continues:

As Goldstein reports, it was all supposed to change after the hanging chads incident in Florida in the 2000 presidential election. Congress passed the Help America Vote Act in 2002, which mandated sweeping reforms, including a statewide voter registration system that would eliminate ineligible voters.

The numbers appear to be small, with only 265 dead votes cast in Southern California, but the effects of those few votes are devastating. It has the double effect of blustering numbers of one side while negating the voices of living citizens.

If this is not a clear indication that we should have voter ID requirements and reform in state databases, then nothing is.
