Although Greta Van Susteren was scheduled to leave gracefully in the upcoming weeks, Fox News decided a few weeks wasn’t fast enough and there were be no sophisticated exit.

A courier delivered letters to her home Tuesday morning saying she was “being taken off the air” immediately after 14 years at Fox. An hour later, Fox announced her departure on air without the classy broadcasting move of allowing Van Susteren to say goodbye to viewers. Shortly afterward her biography, the website for her show “On the Record,” and her Gretawire blog were deleted off Fox’s domain — almost like they were erasing the fact that ever worked there.

The whole announcement went down just minutes after a $20 million sexual harassment settlement was reached between Gretchen Carlson and Fox News head Roger Ailes.

Van Susteren had to announce the situation on her Facebook page.
