Soros money to help Facebook “fact check” alternative media
(INTELLIHUB) — Facebook has announced plans to partner with a list of establishment media outlets, along with the Soros backed International Face-Checking Network, (IFCN) to help them determine what is and isn’t fake news.
As Breitbart noted, “IFCN is hosted by the Poynter Institute for Media Studies. A cursory search of the Poynter Institute website finds that Poynter’s IFCN is openly funded by Soros’ Open Society Foundations as well as the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Google, and the National Endowment for Democracy”
The publicly stated goal of the plan by Facebook is to use these so-called fact checking agencies to help determine if a news story is fake which would then lead it to be flagged as disputed with “a link to the corresponding article explaining why. Stories that have been disputed may also appear lower in News Feed.”
The Breitbart report also noted that another significant Poynter Institute donor continues to fund scores of liberal groups including those also backed by Soros money.
From the New York Times CEO calling for ad networks to ban anyone they deem to be “fake news” to CBS and Salon openly deciding that Infowars is straight up fake, there is a concerted ever to destroy the alternative media and these steps by Facebook seem to line up directly with that goal.
On top of that, celebrities are now pushing for what essentially amounts to a coup attempt in order to stop Donald Trump, who the entire corporate media (yes, the same outlets helping Facebook decide fake news) seems to think won the election because of Russian propaganda.
