(INTELLIHUB) — The possibility of a military strike on North Korea has risen exponentially in the last 48 hours, with a series of startling revelations pointing to the very real possibility of a full-scale war with the rogue nuclear nation.

According to multiple reports, President Trump has already decided on a course of action against North Korea and their nuclear missile development program, complete with military preparations being undertaken for the upcoming potential attack.

A report in Time Magazine quoted a senior administration official as saying, “What the president has done is he’s made a decision for us to pursue a certain course and that course obviously has a number of options associated with it depending on how the situation develops in the future.”

“What you’ve seen is really an integrated effort to prioritize diplomatic and informational aspects of national power, but also what you’ll see soon is using the economic dimension of national power as well as the military preparations that are underway,” the official continued.

Entire Senate takes part in urgent White House briefing

In an extremely rare move, the White House invited the entire Senate to an emergency briefing on the North Korean threat Wednesday where they described the issue as an “urgent national security threat”.

“The hour-long secret session for all senators was held at the Eisenhower Executive Office Building, next to the White House, and included a brief appearance from President Trump who made short, introductory remarks,” reported the Washington Free Beacon.

“Marine Corps Gen. Joseph Dunford, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, also took part in the session. His presence is an indication that military options for dealing with North Korea likely were discussed.”

Interestingly, politicians from both sides of the aisle came away from the briefing expressing support for the White House plan, a clear indication that a bipartisan supported attack is on the horizon.

Submarine known to carry Navy SEALs lands off coast of North Korea

According to multiple news reports, including one by South Korea’s Yonhap News Agency and another by Fox News, a submarine that usually carries Navy SEALs has joined the USS Carl Vinson off the coast of North Korea.

As Business Insider noted, “South Korea’s Yonhap News Agency reported on Monday that the USS Michigan, a submarine that sometimes moves special forces like US Navy SEALs, would join the USS Carl Vinson aircraft carrier strike group off of North Korea’s coast.” “Sure enough, on Tuesday, the Michigan, a guided-missile, nuclear-powered submarine, appeared in Busan, South Korea, Fox News reported.”

Keep in mind previous reports out of South Korea that claimed that the famed SEAL Team 6 was training to specifically take out North Korea’s leader, Kim Jong Un.

“The U.S. Navy SEAL team that reportedly killed Osama bin Laden is now training to take out North Korean tyrant Kim Jong-un, according to a report that quotes South Korean media claims,” reported Intellihub News.

“The claims, published in the Austrian mainstream media, indicate that SEAL Team 6 is conducting “field training operations” amid fast rising tensions with North Korea that has even seen China warn the rogue nation.”

North Korea prepares for war with largest ever live-fire artillery drills

Right on cue, North Korea itself is also seemingly preparing for all out war, with a recent military drill being quoted as the largest ever live-fire artillery display in the nations history.

“Hundreds of tanks were lined up along the eastern coastal town of Wonsan in a show of military strength to celebrate 85 years since the North Korean army was created,” reported the Daily Mail.

“Kim saluted the military as he watched the exercises on Tuesday, which involved the firing of more than 300 large-calibre artillery pieces and included submarine torpedo-attacks.”

In response, South Korea conducted its own military drills in cooperation with the United States while also announcing that key parts of a new missile defense system had been installed.

Sources still believe “70 percent” chance of attack

As Intellihub News exclusively reported early last week, two different high-level sources within the U.S. military apparatus have indicated that the likely chance of a strike on North Korea in the very near future stands somewhere close to 70 percent.

“Whether or not that attack comes due to an attempted nuclear test by the communist nation remains to be seen, but both sources do believe that the Trump White House, right or wrong, is now taking a hard-line approach that is likely to lead to a conflict regardless of the initial reason given,” read the report.

Both sources have confirmed that their belief still stands and if anything the percent chance of an attack has increased.
