Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) pledged frequently that he would be an immigration hawk as House Minority Leader but is already stabbing the Trump revolution in his first days in the role. In a move that certainly put a smile on fellow ‘Young Gun‘ Paul Ryan’s face, McCarthy tossed pro-Trump, pro-border wall Rep. Steve King (R-IA) under the bus over a fake news report issued by the New York Times last week.
The Washington Post puckered up and kissed McCarthy’s butt for doing their bidding and enforcing their liberal value system within the GOP ranks:
“When Rep. Steve King was ushered into House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy’s office Monday night, after sparking outrage for questioning whether the term “white supremacist” is offensive, he expected to be scolded. He did not expect his career in congressional politics to effectively end.
But as the Iowa Republican sat on a couch beneath an eight-foot-tall portrait of Abraham Lincoln, it quickly became clear that McCarthy — whom King has long privately knocked as soft — was taking a hard line.
King, an ally of President Trump’s and a regular guest on conservative media programs, offered to “go quiet,” according to three people familiar with the exchange who were not authorized to speak publicly.
McCarthy dismissed the suggestion — and the nine-term Republican was soon stripped of all his committee assignments.”
Rep. King maintains he was misquoted by the lying smear merchants of the Slimes. He released the following statement to clear the air on the matter:

McCarthy isn’t only punishing King to virtue signal to the mainstream media and satisfy his corporate funders who want open immigration for the purposes of exploiting cheap labor; he is also targeting members of the House Freedom Caucus who had the audacity to support an actual conservative for House Minority Leader.
.@GOPLeader booting conservatives off committees for voting against him!

McCarthy is already targeting all of Trump’s most bold and outspoken proponents in just his first weeks as GOP House leader. The swamp has won yet again, as it is only a matter of time before McCarthy folds on immigration as well. The traitors in our midst have to be dispatched before America can be great again, sadly.
