Forget 2nd Amendment Sanctuary counties for a moment.
There is a serious push in Michigan to make the entire state a 2A Sanctuary.
WZZM reported last week:
LANSING, Mich. — A House resolution has been introduced to declare Michigan a Second Amendment sanctuary state, affirming “the rights of law-abiding citizens to keep and bear arms.’’
Similar resolutions have been introduced in several Michigan counties amid concern about restrictions on the right to keep and bear arms.
House resolution No. 219 expresses concern about legislation in Michigan and Washington, D.C. it says “could infringe upon rights guaranteed by the Second Amendment to the Constitution of the United States.’’
Fifteen lawmakers have attached their names to the resolution, which was introduced Tuesday, Jan. 21. It has been referred to the House Committee on Government Operations.
“Upholding the oath of office in Michigan requires public servants to refuse to participate in the enforcement of unconstitutional restrictions on the Second Amendment and attempt to defend individuals from unlawful enforcement of such restrictions,’’ the resolution states.
It calls on state and federal agencies, as well as Congress “to vigilantly preserve and protect’’ Second Amendment rights by “rejecting any provision, law or regulation that may infringe, or have the tendency to infringe, or place any additional burdens on the right of law-abiding citizens to keep and bear arms.’’

Michigan gun-rights advocates are looking to discourage gun-grabbing politicians by pushing for passage of a newly proposed Second Amendment sanctuary resolution.
Sponsored and introduced by 15 state representatives last week, House Resolution No. 219 seeks to declare Michigan a Second Amendment sanctuary state, joining with comparable resolutions being pushed at the local level by several counties.
Michigan joins a movement that has picked up steam recently and continued to spread through other states across the country, including New Mexico, Virginia, Kentucky, North Carolina and several others.

Reminding legislators of their oath, the new resolution states, “Upholding the oath of office in Michigan requires public servants to refuse to participate in the enforcement of unconstitutional restrictions on the Second Amendment and attempt to defend individuals from unlawful enforcement of such restrictions.”
“Resolved by the House of Representatives, that we declare Michigan a Second Amendment sanctuary state and fully affirm its support of the rights ensured and protected by the constitutions of the United States and Michigan, including the rights of law-abiding citizens to keep and bear arms.”

Americans are not ready and willing to surrender any more gun rights, no matter what anyone in the media says.
Here’s a reality check for liberals — Michigan is historically considered a blue state, though Trump did win it in 2016.
Pushing more gun control won’t help liberals win Michigan back, any time soon.
Americans are not stupid.
Sometimes a gun is the only difference between life and death for innocent citizens.
